Returns and Exchanges is a musical about retail. The audience will follow August Winters as she goes about her day in the monotonous drum at Really Good Buy, a big box electronics retailer. The first act will entail all the different things she encounters on a daily basis including inside jokes often heard by actual retail workers. The second act is about what happens after the doors close and everyone goes to the local club to blow off some steam.

The aim is to show a different side of retail. The main theme of the musical is love. At any retail location, no matter where it’s geographically located or what they sell, there will always be a love triangle. In this musical, there will be three different love triangles involving seven different people. Hints of each love triangle are given throughout the first act but they all culminate in the second, once everyone has had a few drinks in their stomachs.
